Kurtell Growth Industries, the umbrella of a group of individual corporations, limited partnerships and proprietor ownerships, is the equivalent of a normal "reit", differing mainly in that it is not a "C" corporation and thus, not subject to taxes assessed to such entities.
The company is structured to purchase, own, and manage mostly income producing properties ranging from development of such entities as manufactured housing communities, shopping centers, land, office centers, medical office buildings, a car lot, triple net leased properties, condominiums, and prime residential properties. The company is licensed as real estate and mortgage brokers.
Presently, we have under contract, Florida east coast's largest medical center. This is a 124,000 square foot complex covering over 9 acres adjacent to Vero Beach's only hospital. There is covered parking for several hundred vehicles underneath the building. Also owned is approximately $200 million in residential real estate consisting of homes and condominiums in Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina.
Future plans call for acquisitions mainly in the medical office building field. Except in rare occasions, not often call for, the company does not expect to sell any assets outside residential properties owned. Acquisitions are actively sought.
